WIL DARCANGELO: Music

You’ll Never Walk Alone

(arranged and orchestrated by John Middleton-Cox)
Music by Richard Rodgers Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II
From the 1945 Broadway musical “Carousel” ~ Winner of 5 1994 Tony Awards for the Broadway revival

One of the most popular, moving and inspirational pieces of music ever to come from the acclaimed songwriting team of Rodgers and Hammerstein. It has been used as anthem, hymn, love song and dirge. Over the years, countless recording artists such as Louis Armstrong, Shirley Bassey, Perry Como, Patti LaBelle, The Righteous Brothers, Pink Floyd, Frank Sinatra and Conway Twitty have recorded their own impassioned covers. This powerful version begins with the standard rendition of the song and then moves into a forceful gospel-backed variation that Wil can perform with small vocal ensemble or gospel choir or both.
